05-140 SEROCK, JADWISIN Jadwisin is located at a beautiful Zegrzynskie Lake near Warsaw (about 30 km on the road to Pultusk, between Zegrze and Serock). The palace in Jadwisin was built in 1896-98 for the prince Radziwil family, according to the project of Francis Arveuf. The Palace was built in a French renaissance style, its structure is asymetric. It is a ground floor building with a tower of interesting shape. The walls of the Palace are covered with red tiles which together with white sandstone, create a beautiful contrast with the green forest. Until II world war it was one of the residences of Radziwils, the noble family, who, since XVI century, has had a significant influence on the history of Rzeczpospolita (the Commonwealth), Poland, Lithuania and Ruthenia. After II world war it was taken by Ministry of Education, since 1960 it has been used by Prime Minister's Office. During communist times it was a closed place only for governmental and communist party officials, heavily guarded and closed for outsiders. Today it is opened also for tourists and used as conference center for companies and organizations. The Palace and Park Complex is surrounded by 10 000 acres of nature preserve. We offer traditional Polish kitchen and fully equipped recreational and sport facility. CENTER OFFERS:
